Jan Zuiderveld is an Artificial Intelligence graduate who currently researches applications of machine learning in art. His inspiration is found in the exchange between humans and AI, and his artistic practice highlights the power of machine learning as a tool to enhance creativity. Zuiderveld’s work shows the artistic possibilities that machine learning generates for anyone, even those that do not feel creative enough to create.
On December 17th, you’re invited to connect with the Dream Machine: a hacked Xerox photocopier from the 00s that generates an artistic image based on (a scan of) your input. For this creative process you don’t need prior art experience or knowledge – all you have to do is find the drawing table and the big red button.
